Bourne is where you cross onto the Cape. Both the Bourne and Sagamore bridges are here, and part of the town sits on the mainland side of the canal. That makes it a good fit for people who work off-Cape.
The town is a group of villages: Buzzards Bay, Sagamore Beach, Monument Beach, Pocasset, Cataumet, and Bournedale. Each has its own feel, from beach streets to wooded neighborhoods.
